A story of change. I was never afraid to cook, yet I started adult life with no special cooking skills or history. In 1999, I ate a meal in a little Korean family restaurant that opened an entire universe of ideas for me. My foundation is Asian as that is the first cuisine I learned how to cook. It has given me a unique perspective coupled with hereditary mad-scientist-like ambition. The history of Asian food born from growing season limitations, famine, wars, and resourcefulness intensely edifies my journey in life. Like Clapton's version of "Have You Ever Loved a Woman" I cannot leave it alone. I am this.

F4T Intro
In this video, we make Southwest Egg Rolls, one of the most requested meals I make. The seasoning packet, Spricy Ranchero is a substitution for straight up Chipotle pepper powder. Use Chipotle powder, It's great!

Sunday Morning Breakfast
Grilled Salmon, mushrooms, shallots, and bok choy; stir-fried Asian noodles; fried egg; kimchi; and chili crisp.

Baked salmon and crabcake with lemon, caper aioli and sauteed garden fresh vegetables.

Food photos of the week. All things food creativity.

My youngest, Noah, has inherited my and Joe Jackson's mad scientist-like ambition for last-minute cooking. It is a calling of sorts in which he is driven to a meal: grilled steak bites with a rich herby chimichurri sauce on sourdough bread with peppers, onions, and mushrooms.

Under construction - Please pardon the mess.
