Originally a riff on the Chili's Southwest Eggrolls these have become the most requested dish for F4TF.
Orange Chicken, Japanese Broccoli Salad, miso eggs and lemon apples. One of my friends said these were incredibly contrasting flavors, but all worked perfectly together.
Steamed carrot wrapped in seared beef, ginger-scallion rice, Thai spiced tofu, and Japanese rolled egg omelet.
Japanese bento boxes, Tonkatsu (panko fried pork cutlet) with Tonkatsu sauce (not yet applied in these photos) on a bed of finely chopped green cabbage, honey stone ground mustard shaved carrots, steamed rice and sesame sugar snap peas.
Made my own pork char siu on the grill in the early morning this Friday. So delicious!
rice wrappers with zucchini, cabbage, carrots, bacon, tofu, eggs, chili peppers in them. After they were wrapped, I crisp them up on a griddle to give them some color. Made a savory spicy sauce to drizzle over them.
Anything beef is a hit on F4TF and this one was no exception. Cooking the beef till it develops caramelized edges is the treat for sure!
Bulgogi is my first Korean culinary love and this ground beef version did not disappoint. Everything is chopped small to keep with the ground beef aesthetics.
Tom Kha Gai soup is wonderfully comforting. It can take whatever happens to be on hand as long as you have the soup base, the curry, lemongrass, and coconut milk.
I have been making this Pad Thai for about 15 years now. Inspired by Poo Khun's Thai Cooking School. This was a huge hit on Friday!
These rolls featured two different proteins, some with shrimp and others with pork. Three sauces: Mango, Sesame Ginger Peanut, and Pineapple Peanut were homemade.
Tender chicken, Asian slaw, peppers, and onions in crisp wonton shells. Thank you for the idea Applebees. These are delicious!
Mine are better though... Sorry!
Chinese Chicken and Cabbage rolls with a sweet and spicy dipping sauce.
I always thought you needed to have your head examined if you put ketchup on eggs, but this recipe changed all that, I still cannot believe it!
Soft, velveted chicken, salty, sweet, and savory flavors, crunchy vegetables, and silky eggs.
The beauty of this dish is that everything is cooked in its own time, and then the noodles are cooked by themselves. Once they are blistered from the heat of the wok, the sauce is added, and over the next few minutes, the sauce gets soaked up by the noodles.
Some Fridays we slow down a little and enjoy homemade popcorn featuring various seasonings: Chinese 5 Spice, Garlic, Salt & vinegar, Hong Kong Chicken.
This one hit all the right spots: bacon, eggs, maple sausage, garlic, ginger, peppers, onions, and hashbrowns in a savory fried rice dish topped with maple syrup-infused French toast. Salty, savory, sweet, perfect. I was told by some of my friends this was their favorite F4T Friday dish yet.
Seared tender beef, Onions, peppers, and bamboo shoots served with tender yet chewy udon noodles translate into Friday comfort food.
